Ferncliff Lodge

My boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Ferncliff Lodge. We were exhausted from our road trip and this was the perfect place to slow-down for some much needed relaxation. My partner enjoyed the hot tub with a sweet ambiance of twinkly lights and the stars, while I enjoyed reading a book on one of the big couches by the fire place. We had a full kitchen to work with, an upstairs bed to lounge on during the afternoon sun, and a cute neighborhood to explore. We were also in a perfect position to visit Rocky Mountain Park and Trail Ridge Road the next day, making it an easier launching place than Boulder or Denver, since we didnt have to fight any traffic to get there. 10/10 would stay again. Nice cozy, clean and comfortable room with updated bathroom. Also good amenities in the room and around the property. Added bonus; this lodge is pet friendly. Definitely a great little mountain retreat. The owners were great as well and very helpful! We also liked the TV choices of channels that they had available. P.S. we used to own a hotel in Palm Springs, California, so we know when owners pay attention to detail. That’s really important to us.

This place is great! Perfectly located between Estes Park and Lyons. Private and surrounded by the beauty of the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The two twins beds were comfortable. There is a sitting couch, kitchen sink, microwave, small fridge/freezer, and toaster over. The shower was great and doubled as a steam room.

Stayed here for two nights in September while we explored the area. Rooms were clean and quiet. Stayed in the Chiefs Head unit that had two full beds, one bathroom, and kitchenette. The was a TV, small sink, utensils, plates, cups, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. Had a small AC unit in the wall and floor board heating system. There were a few small portable heaters and fans in the room but did not use them. Their steam shower is awesome. The unit had a small back patio with chairs and table. There was also a gas grill and hot tub shared by three units. It was a comfortable stay and had no complaints. Cost was slightly on the lower end compared to similar places in the area. I thought it was a good deal for what you get. The inside seemed to have been remodeled fairly recently and looked nice and modern but nothing fancy. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay,

Had a wonderful couple days in one of the single rooms. Beautiful quiet location. Very comfortable nice rooms with simple kitchenette. Steam shower and hot tub were a great bonus as well.

The location is great, less than 2 hours from the airport. It’s secluded enough to have some privacy but The Grill Guy across the street has great sandwiches and it’s only 20 minutes from Estes Park which has lots of stuff to do and Lily Mountain is a great hike nearby. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, full kitchen, and the hot tub was great.

So glad I could bring my dog, AND it didn’t have that feeling of dogs having been there in the past. No smells or stains or signs at all. Love the location & cleanliness!

⸻ We had such a wonderful stay at the Blue Spruce Cabin at Ferncliff Lodge! From the moment we arrived, we could tell this place was well cared for. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully provisioned with everything we needed to feel right at home. It’s clear that a lot of attention goes into making sure guests are comfortable. One of our favorite parts of the trip was having Crystal Springs just down the street. The lodge even provides a little container so you can fill it up with fresh spring water — such a simple touch, but it really made the experience feel special. Between the natural beauty, the fresh air, and the quiet setting, it was exactly the kind of escape we were looking for. Another big plus is the location — it’s only a short drive to Estes Park, so you can easily spend the day exploring the shops, restaurants, and breathtaking mountain views before coming back to the peaceful comfort of the cabin. It really gives you the best of both worlds. This is the perfect place to bring your spouse, your kids, or even just yourself if you need a reset. Whether you want to explore the area or simply relax on the property, the Blue Spruce Cabin offers it all. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and already looking forward to our next visit.
